Breaking the Ice

by David   Aug 14, 2005

The ominous lake of happiness frozen over and sparkling in the moonlight.
The gentle shimmering joy of it intriguing you to take your chances,
Only to find yourself betrayed and the ice shatter beneath you
Finding yourself in a dark cold place with no way out but to drown in your own tears and self pity.
Moral of the story: Don't tread on unfamiliar waters everything that glitters ain't always gold.
