Kiss of life

by Wintersolstice   Aug 14, 2005

Can’t you see she's dead?
That laughing girl you knew
Leave me be, you sicken me
You are repetitions human form

This I state to all but him,
I am not me, me only exists...
In his presence, even then it is suppressed
Because it is a flicker of hope that should not be
All else, everyone sickens me.

I being sound of mind and body,
Broken of heart and drained of spirit
Care not for anyone anymore,
Other than the boy, who causes my sorrow, but is my heart

For he is the sun and everything and nothing
The bringer of all and taker of me
Whom I shall never have cause we will never be
Who has reduced all fire to cinders
My eyes quenched with salt water

I fight a losing battle with my soul
Not to feel, for it would destroy me
But I must feel, I am resigned-I love my executioner,
I live for my final breaths in his shared air.

But in denying me my death
He will drag all, all being himself, from my soul
Hollow now, and soon empty forever
And forever is such a long time
To live as a zombie.

I live and long for his light, for he is life
Never to see him again...ahh the pain
I am destined to be lost forever
Cant be together...we cant be together...

So can’t you see she's dead?
You did'nt even know her
The shadow that once existed
Was only there in his light
But she, I, am ended.

Never to receive the confirmation-my ticket to live-the kiss of life.
