Losing hope

by Arkon   Aug 14, 2005

I feel like I've done all that I can do
This whole time I've stayed true
This time, I told them off again
I can't do it just to pretend

I see the bars drop
I feel my heart stop
It happened again
I lost another friend

As days fade
And as my nights gray
I fall prey to phantoms
Singing a union's anthem

We could be in another place
You could see my face
Not these fake smiles
We'd have to walk a million miles

If this is what you call your idea of losing hope
We might as well shoot the pope
Murder the president and decapitate martha with a razor rope
Lies beyond your wildest dreams
Louder than the loudest screams
And if you think its hard when your blind and trying to steer?
Well this is worse than your worst fear.
