We've lost you for good

by Jessica   Aug 15, 2005

The fights that we’ve had never put a dent in our friendship
Crying on the phone to me when that boy broke your heart
Something that I’ll never forget yet I’m sure that you already have
Laughing all day about nothing
Sneaking out to get away from families and never getting caught
That time you were drunk and I took care of you
Bet you forgot that too
Sitting for hours giggling about boys that we liked
Did that seriously mean nothing to you?
You all of a sudden decided to go for that guy
We of course encouraged you
Gave you all the advice a friend could ask for
Then you heard that he didn’t like us
Wow! That was a rude awakening for you
We wondered what you would do
Then it was like we did something wrong
Because you totally ditched us
One minute we’re your friends
The next your like oh hi haven’t talked to you guys in forever
I finally confronted you with it
You bawled saying that you were sorry but you really wanted him
You’d make it up to us
We’d hang out some time
Yeah right
If my friendship still means something to you I don’t know
Because you seem to still talk to me about your problems
Trusting me with your secrets
Yet when I need you or just plain need to get out of the house
I couldn’t be farther from your friend.
