Too Messed up to care

by Jessica   Aug 15, 2005

She stared out the window
Raining outside
The tears on her face
Rolling down her cheeks
Matching the glass

She didn't want any of this
As if she meant for this
His choices were miserable
Indescribably mistakes
Hurting everyone in their path

Love was the only thing
That ever made sense
He crushed even that
Her life in shambles
Falling to the ground

The only friend that
Seemed to care
Was fading away fast
But she was
Too messed up to care

Thunder roars
The phone ringing
She screams out
Waiting for the pain
To disappear

Answering the phone
Wishing for an answer
Only an old friend
Wanting nothing more
Then a number

The wind howls
Glass shatters
She looks around
Darkness everywhere
A chill fills the air

Falling to the floor
Grasping for air
She screams again
Hoping for something
To save her

Nothing will
I wish that
I could have done something
But she was
Too messed up to care
