We met about a year ago,
i never let my love show.
looked into your eyes,
saw all the times i use to cry.

a boy of light brown hair,
how i wish he would have cared.
he was older than me,
why cant he see?

he meant everything,
he made my heart sing.
i felt so whole,
he was my heart and soul.

he said good-bye one day,
i couldn't find anything to say..
he told me he loved me,
how could this be?

today I'm crying all alone,
for the love we didn't show..
never felt this bad before,
inside everything tore...

i cant love anyone else now,
i need him somehow......
i want to hear his sweet voice,
my heart made its last choice....

tonight i wish upon a star,
i can get to where you are...
run threw a Field of flowers,
i want to be with you for hours..

and if my wish does not come true,
somehow ill still be with you..
now i lay me sown to sleep,
i pray the lord my soul to keep..
