Reluctantly Leaving the past

Another morning, a new day has begun
So much important stuff still left undone
Where does one start now?
Where does one turn?
Leaving behind me a life filled with fun
Looking to a new life and just hoping for some

Another new day and the sorrows still real
It’s hard to find anything that really appeals
What can I do now?
What can be just for me?
Leaving a great life with security and love
Looking to uncertainty and guidance from above

Another sunrise and I am still confused
Opportunities a plenty and yet my senses abused
Who can I turn to?
Who can I trust?
Leaving my old life not sure that I can
Looking to the future to be who I am.

Another great sunset and I’m still unsure
If life’s really worth it and if I’ll endure
Why is it so?
Why must I work harder?
Leaving a life I’ve invested so much in
Looking to uncharted waters that I just may drown in.

Another dark nightfall and still I’m alone
No soul mate beside me sharing my home
Is it truly the beginning?
Is it simply the end?
Leaving a life where I felt special and safe
Looking to – whatever- I guess just have faith
