Thief of the moment

by edsel   Aug 16, 2005

She was clad in the simplest earthliness
there were clouds beneath here feet
as she moved from here to there
roses bloom and angels meet

she moved a bit of her head to
my direction, and everything froze
it felt like sunshine in the rain
it tasted like bittersweet rose

suddenly i was ashamed of myself
she could see right thru my eyes
she could smell the secret beneath
and spell my vouched safe soul

with her, I'm naked as a careless fish
swimming in an unending sea of gladness
and uncertainty, it seems
like it's a dream.. it has always been

it has always been...
for this girl is living in sheets
klaxon-ed in blue and red
posted at the side of my bed

so it has always been...

..a dream
