My little brother

My little brother, always on my side
Behind me he he could feel safe
And knew he could hide

He looked up to me every day
Never was I the greatest big brother
But I listened to what he had to say

Together through times bad
And good as well
Sometimes I made him sad

So many experiences shared
When something happened to me
He was the only one that cared

A language only us could speak
My little brother and I
Others would call me a freak

No one knows what I've seen
The ugly and the beautiful
Except my brother who has been

Victim of a car accident
God bless his innocent soul
So much to me he has meant

If I had one last wish to make
I'd trade places with him
