Love Lost

You were the one I felt so deeply for
You had opened up the closed door
To a feeling I thought I could never have
At the time you were the one who kept me smiling and glad

As time went by I began to realize
That you never truly loved me
My heart began to break as I opened my eyes
Tears began to fall as I began to see clearly

I told you I wanted you to be the one
Soon to find out that you had another woman
The pain I felt was truly unbearable
The things you did were no longer tolerable

I can’t say that your love is lost
If your love was never true
I will move on at any cost
But a part of me will always love you
