Best Friend

by Mariah Faith   Aug 16, 2005

We hang out in the laundary rooms
And spend all day together.
We share stories and clean
Like we have known each other forever.

He pulls kitchen and bathroom counters,
And I unscrew outlet plates.
I help him clean the dumpsters,
And that is something we both hate.

I pull my arm back
And give him a slug
Everytime we go for a ride
And I see a bug.

We pick up the grounds
And put together screens.
Some apartments smell so bad
Our faces turn green.

We hand out fliers
To every resident door.
We walk up and down stairs
Until our legs are sore.

Know that I will miss you
When you go.
I will never forget
How our friendship did grow.

So goodbye until
We see each other again.
To my new and
wonderful best friend.
