As I Stare Out My Window...

by Becky   Aug 16, 2005

As I stare out my window, at the birds in the trees,
I observe many things, the world never sees,
I see the way the wind carries the bees,
As I stare out my window, at the birds in the trees.

As I stare out my window, at the world passing by,
The only word that ever comes to mind is, why?
Why you do it, why you lie,
As I stare out my window, at the world passing by.

As I stare out my window, I try to remain,
To remain in my shell, but things are always the same,
Those heavy steps on the landing that tell me its time for your game,
As I stare out my window, I try to remain.

As I stare out my window, I am focusing still,
Your angry words echo in my head, spinning round like a drill,
The drill that possesses me, against my will,
As I stare out my window, I am focusing still.

As I stare out my window, I feel your touch,
You tell me it’s because I’ve been a bad girl that you hurt me so much,
As you say this, like a rabbit I try to retreat to my hutch,
As I stare out my window, I feel you touch.

As I stare out my window, your fingers of ice,
Slowly grasp my neck, why do I have to pay the price,
Something’s different this time, for I feel you starting to slice,
As I stare out my window, your fingers of ice.

As I stare out my window, you tell me never, no more,
Never will I be able to act like such a little wh0re,
That I am the dirtiest $lut you ever saw,
As I stare out my window, you tell me never, no more.

As I stare out my window, the blade still in your hand,
I realize I will soon be living in another land,
A land full of sunshine, clear waters and sand,
As I stare out my window, the blade still in your hand.

As I stare out my window, for the very last time,
I can faintly hear the church bells chime,
You play you favorite game with me; cover me your nauseating slime,
As I stare out my window, for the very last time.

As I stare out my window, hoping you do it fast,
Hope that you save me from this ongoing pain at last,
All the pain that you caused me, through my entire past,
As I stare out my window, hoping you do it fast.

As I stare out my window, I cry out your name,
“Daddy, I’m sorry that I brought you this shame,
Sorry I had to make you play this game,”
As I stare out my window, I cry out your name.

As I stare out my window, I feel it, it’s here,
The ending to all of my pain and my fear,
You bring the knife to my throat; you dry my single tear,
As I stare out my window, I feel it, it’s here…
