Friends since second grade
but throughout the years
our friendship never faded;
i know all your loves and fears

So immature when we met
all the fun times I'll never forget
playing lava man, dodge ball, train
or simply sitting there watching the rain

After a few years came middle school
in sixth we saw each other only in lunch
never figured out how you are always calm and cool
when everyone else had their panties in a bunch

then came Leungs class, seventh grade
i spent my time putting your hair in a braid
our notes contained anything from I'm bored to blink 182
you were always there, asking wat u could do

in eighth came the shocker
you were moving far away
my best friend, the punk rocker
leaving when i had so much to say

i made you a farewell gift
but my spirit, it didn't lift
the gift all our friends penned
your tried so hard not to cry, believing it* had come to an end
i didn't cry to your face, but i lost it once you drove around the bend

*it=our friendship
