Thirteen Pills

by Timothy S   Aug 17, 2005

Thirteen pills went down my throat
Another attempt to end the pain, make it dull
Hope it's enough to numb my soul
They're soaking in my blood as I write
Provoking a sudden light to be turned cold
Despite the choking, the fight for air
I think...what's the point anymore
Who can really care, and I don't
Want to end things on a sore note
At least let me say I love you before I go
So don't let me make the same mistakes I did before
Let me end it with the thirteen pills
And if anyone asks why, tell them
He said it was to fix his sore throat
