I hate the people that you know
And how your mind is so unclean
I hate that you had to go

I hate the way you leave me speechless
And how you make me blush
I hate how you always make me confess
And how you say everything with that certain hush

I hate the way you make me feel
And how you’re always so smooth
I hate how talking with you is always so unreal
And how your words can always soothe

But the thing I hate the most
Is how I somehow always knew
That even though you moved to the coast
I never really stopped loving you
