Someone rescued me

by Crimson Juliet   Aug 18, 2005

Locked inside a jail cell
for how long I don't know
I just awoke in here one day
cell B-32, in the second row

that's all that I'm aware of
and now I'm stuck in here
all alone, all others empty
my crime must have been severe

but as far as I know I've done nothing
to deserve this solitude
I wait all day for answers
for my sentence to conclude

the walls are bare and broken
stained, crimson as a rose
my cell is small, I walk 10 ft
and that's as far as it goes

until one day came a man
and he held a time worn key
I arose with a bright smile
he had come to rescue me

he opened up the barred door
and I just looked at him confused
he held out a hand for me
"Your crime has been excused..

I must apologize it took so long
this is a hard place to get in
so tightly locked from the outside world
I didn't know where to begin

but now I'm here to stay
and that's a promise I'll make to you."
she just looked at him in awe
her face porcelain, this information was so new

he saw her expression
and proceeded to explain
this prison was just in her mind
a cell to keep out all the pain

until someone who had the answers
could come and set her free
the key to her heart, which he found
the one you've found for me...
