Sadness of the Sky

by Weeping Wolf   Aug 18, 2005

Just a life
one more life
that has sadly gone by
Just a boy
one more boy
but he was looking at the sky
I was curious
But when i looked into his eyes
I saw my own sadness staring back at me
as his vision borrowed mine
And he asked
"Will you die?"
He knew the answer but he tortured me with questions
We both knew when we saw each others eyes.
"Yes, i will die."
I turned away in despair, realizing it for the first time
I too, was yearning for the sky

The words that I said seemed final
I had deceived them before
Disbelieving their meaning
for a simple lullaby
We both spoke words as though
All of time was weighting us down
We walked together one last time
And i knew with great regret, that he too would die.
Our heads were down but our eyes were looking at the sky...
