The sun shines sofly rising up on this morning
Rays of gold trickling gently through the town
Slivers of hope penetrating the withering darkness
Spreading swiftly through the city over each piece of ground

Sitting in the park with each other forgetting our minds
Laughing and smiling as the world turns around us
Taking each of our troubles and leaving them behind

A beautiful day, the sun shining through the trees
Wandering with no direction with your hand in mine
Remembering each precious moment spent together
Your laughter echoing, sweeter than summers wine

A perfect day, lost in the company of my lover
Our hearts thumping gently as we share a kiss
