No Different From The Rest *for Heather*

by Ashlee Nicole   Aug 18, 2005

The diseases within us all
In different shapes and forms
Some starve, some cut
Some drink, some mourn
Anorexia, Depression
Alcoholic, Schizophrenic
Built deep inside
Within our genetics
To each their own
The disease of choice.
Just remember this,
You have a voice,
A voice to fight,
Against it all
Some may win,
Some may fall.
You have to fight,
For all you can.
For in the end,
You will stand.
Alive and well
On your way home
But never forget,
You\\\'re not alone.

Dedicated to my roommate Heather, we meet in a psychiatric hospital. She was anorexic, I was in for depression. We instantly clicked, and these were my parting words for her. Thank you Heather.

    For in the end,
    You will stand.
    Alive and well
    On your way home
    But never forget,
    You\'re not alone.

I love this part very much,
    That nobody is ever alone,
Because somebody will always be there.
