Three Blind Babes

by Angelo   Aug 19, 2005

Separate little souls,
Each a separate heart
Emerging from the womb,
Below the average start

Born inside the darkness,
But someday they shall see
The love that God provides them, Truly is the key.

Their gift of breath would come, Through delivery
But the gift of life did come,
From divinity.

For God had sent them light,
Of love and of hope
To save them of the horrors, Inflicted by the dope.

The light was of a family, Overflowed with care
To them this was all wrong,
It just wasn’t fair.

They treated the precious babes, As if they were their own
Exposed them to a song,
Angelic in its tone.

Starting out in darkness,
Then shifting to the light
Would take a lot of heart,
And use up all their might.

As these babies grow,
Into sweet little children
They likely will not know,
Of what nearly killed them.

But the family of light,
Will know all too well
They won’t forget the suffering, The trauma or the hell.

When the babies become children, They’ll probably blend in
No idea of difference,
Of now and what was then.

Through the graces of our God, The children may live long
With the powers of the light, Righting what is wrong.

All the gifts from up above,
Are always right and just
But sometimes they confuse us,
So we must learn to trust.

The babes they will not make it, Without the special care
Granted from the Savior,
Through faith and through our prayer.

In their journeys to adulthood,
The babes will surely see
It was the Son of God,
That truly set them free.

And so he cradles with great love, These three blind little babes
They’re filled with hope,
Filled with light, And with the love that saves.

The family of light you see,
Was placed there in the path
To bring the babes out from the dark,
Sparing them the wrath.

The family of light may seem,
Like heroes most indeed
For selflessly providing,
For the babes and all their needs.

Are they majestic just because, They place their trust in Him
If you’re searching for a hero,
It’s the one who works through them.
