Its almost been a year
since I shed my first tear
At knowing i would never get the chance to say goodbye.
It felt like a bad dream when i realized what i was about to be told
It didn't seem fair that a person so loving and kind could be taken from my life so quickly
It felt wrong being back at your place without you there, i felt like you were in another room and i had to check each room just to make sure
None of it seemed real until we took Nana to stay at out place, it wasn't till then that i really realized i was never going to see you again
and it hurt like nothing has ever hurt me before,
The part of you that left me that day has still left its mark and i know it may never disappear,
You did make me feel complete you were my hero and most importantly my granddad.
