I can make the rains come

by paperdoll   Aug 19, 2005

I can make
the rains come.

I can bring the storms in,
closer.

I can
inhale,
drag the heavy clouds
towards me, bringing down
a grey unrest, torrents and torrents of rumbled frustration,
I can bewitch the sky.

I can summon storms
with the
mere memory of their taste, the smell
of clear thunder raindrops through my hair and hanging cobweb-like, water
on cold stones and long wet grass smeared with
summer wind,
air or slow electricity
and clouds that pour their fury down,
breezes cold and vengeful, lustful,
hateful
like the rain.

I can make it
pour.

One long mouthless scream,
all my longing for the storm’s rage,
walk into a hurricane of battle-scarred emotion.

Look at this destruction,
one lungful of anger.
All this because, I –

I can make the rains come.

This was absolutely amazing Paperdoll. I felt the chill of the rains and the storm you were describing as I read your words. Loved the freestyle you used and how you ended it.

    Absolutely breathtaking piece.

Paper, sorry I haven't commented lately. A lot has happened.

I enjoy this piece so much. The element of water, the condensation, the down pour ... I loved it. It was just so pure and vivid, every stanza.

I just felt your message, the pain and the agony of it all. If I may so inquire it was an agonizing pain you were symbolizing.

    Awesome, as always.
