Do you remember when you were
The one who was there for me,
Through every trouble in my life
Didn’t matter what it may be..
You have been one of the main
People in my life since I was 13,
Yes, ever since grade seven
My best friend you have been..
I remember you holding me
I felt so safe with in your arms,
The only person who ever made me
Feel so protected from harm..
And I still often think about
All the things that we used to say,
Remember when we promised
‘Best friends forever and today’?
And I think about the times when
You were still at Prospect,
And that last day that you left
My heart broke more than I did expect..
I was so completely lost
Had no idea at all what to do,
Just sat crying, thinking about
All the times I had spent with you..
Thought about every moment
As one after the other my tears fell,
I was nothing without you
And every single person could tell..
We kept in contact after that
But soon we went our different ways,
Didn’t speak for months on end
And I hurt on every one of those days.
But then finally, after months of hurt
I once again seen your face,
And at last I had your arms around me
How I had missed your embrace..
We became almost inseparable
Not one person could come between,
“You two are the best, best friends”
Said everybody who seen..
But, what happened to us Daniel
How did we get torn apart,
Why did I end up like this
