Prayer of War

by williamcampbell   Aug 20, 2005

I’m sitting looking at the door,
Knowing you’ve went off to war.
Longing goes deep into my core,
Fear deep inside begins to roar.
For if required your blood you’ll pour,
Just like the heroes of old folk lore.
My pride for you like eagles soar.
Deep down inside my heart is tore.
For your courage, please do explore,
I’ll lover you for forevermore.
For your safety, God I’ll implore,
I’m praying for you, more and more.
