Generation Lost

by No Motiv?   Aug 20, 2005

Why do we treat our bodies like this?
eager to seal the deal with a fatal kiss...

and why don't we see nature destroy itself?
trees truncating themselves to the retirement shelf.

I've yet to see leaves abscond from their home,
Isolating their branches bare and alone,

The sea doesn't bleed itself into the sand,
And in it's absence leave behind dry, brittle land.

Since when did we rely on self destruction?
We've populated masses with major reduction.

Cigarettes, Booze, and drugs of all kinds,
Have we ever been so anxious to fu.ck up our minds?

Generation Lost, we've forgotten how to live,
What's your world have to offer, if you've nothing to give?
