This Notebook

This notebook, a piece of a poet's mind,
every last scribble collectively signed

thoughts meticulously placed in every letter,
paragraphs infinitely rewritten and hopefully bettered

crossroads meet as stories collide,
some past times tarnished as the memory is tried

familiar faces with unfamiliar names,
people stored away within every page

expression; love, hate, anger, content
every feeling recorded from the tip of a pen.
