I invited you into my house, I brought you up to my room, But it didn't happen there, I wasn't ready, but I told you soon. It was a warm, summer night, We went for a drive, Looking up at the stars, Made me feel so alive. You took my hand was we walked the beach, You told me you had a surprise, You told me it was a little further up, And that I had to close my eyes. You led me forward, Step after step on the soft warm sand, I was excited, my spirits were high, as you gently squeezed my hand. I felt a warm glow, creeping along my face, I knew it was from a fire, This was the place. You said to open my eyes, And there I saw a blanket, two glasses full of wine, A small fire, And a small dinner to call mine. You fed me the dinner, Put the glass to my lips, Then you slowly ran your hands along the curve of my hips. You moved away the drinks and food, And lifted my shirt up and over my head, Pulled my skirt off, And laid me down on the ready-made bed. You kissed me with passion so full of fire, Your eyes held love and desire. That was our night, That was the night, That was when everything was just right. We made and fell right into love, It was our time, It was when I was yours, And you were truly mine.
