Butterfly Heart

by Heather   Aug 20, 2005

My heart is a beautiful butterfly
you have caught her in your net,
you were careful not to harm her
to fly free my heart you set.

She flew around awhile
but in your clutch she decided to reside,
safely out of harms way
closely by your side.

you feed her every need
and any hopeful desire,
the way u handle her
is something i can admire.

you know she mustnt be caged
everything must roam around,
forever in your grasp she'll return
your calling needs, are a harmoniouse sound.

the lifespan of this butterfly
is determined by how shes treated,
if shes done right,
she'll forever be around when shes needed.

you can always hold my butterfly
if you handle her with care,
take her in the palm of your hand
accept the responsibility if you dare.
