So why'd you have to go
and what made it so bad
I thought a parents wish was
for their children to never be sad

You got our first dance
to the song butterfly kissed
but what about the other stuff
the stuff that you will miss

Basketball is going great
and could've and wanted to share
but i guess that wasn't on your list
for the stuff that really cared

I don't have a boyfriend
the ones you can inspect
no boys fit for your daughter
is something i wanted to expect

So i guess i have to face the fact
that you cant bring it back
but in my heard
the part for you i will always lack.
