Why?

by Triumph   Aug 20, 2005

The look in his eye,
scared me half ta death,
my arm seemed broken,
I hadn't a last breath.
As hard as I tried I couldn't fight back,
he gripped my shirt,
and he began to attack.

Black and blue swellings along my arm,
I blacked out: then heard an alarm,
held down to a hospital bed,
doctors viewing pictures of my cracked open head.
When I opened my eyes,
my father stood tall,
acting like he wasn't there throu it all.

He asked questions like any parent would,
rubbing my forehead and swaying his hands,
sounding as concerned as he could,
I remember all the demands.

I remember falling on the floor,
I even remember my head being slammed on the door,
all because of the truth that I had found,
he had threatened and beat my mother down to the ground.

My life is ending,
and it was all him,
the reason my skull was smacked against a car rim,
now blood is leaving,
and I don't know what do to,
Get away from me,
I haven't the faintest clue.
