Driving in the car,
I'm not nervous at all, I'm fine,
Unsure you will want to see me,
After all this time,
But still I carry on forwards,
Prepared for an unhappy face,
I almost turned back once or twice,
But in the end I quicken my pace,
Suddenly I'm close,
I see you in the distance,
My heart pounds almost breaking my chest,
And I fight all resistance,
I'm next to you,
Within arms reach of your touch,
I'm dying to run and jump into the arms,
Of the man I love so much,
I hold myself together,
As you laugh at me and smile,
You know how impatient I am,
I couldn't wait another while,
You tell me about the surprise,
That I've ruin all your plans,
I feel bad for wrecking the surprise,
But I just needed to see my man,
I had to wait ten more minutes,
Nothing compared to what had already passed,
So I went away and returned,
To hold your body at last,
The touch of your hand,
Being able to see you there,
Able to kiss your lips,
Able to show you how much I care,
It all brought back the feelings,
That had faded for a while,
The butterflies in the stomach,
Returned to make me smile,
I felt like I was back then,
Back at the 29th of September,
Hoping you would ask me out,
That's a day I'll always remember!
Today I realised something,
I love you even more than I thought,
I didn't think that was even possible,
But I was wrong, I was taught,
Over the days apart,
I've craved you like never before,
I couldn't bare to leave you today,
I just wanted you more,
But alas I had to leave,
But as I did you did something I miss,
You went to go and as I pulled away,
You pulled me back for one last kiss,
As I departed a smile appeared on my face,
I walked away happier than ever,
You have no idea what the meant to me,
It feels like it's been forever,
Since you were the last one to make the move,
My feet grew tired from chasing you,
My heart had grown sad with doubts,
But today away they flew,
I can't wait to see you again,
To hold you in my arms like today,
I just want to close my eyes and hold you tight,
And pray you'll never go away,
Tonight I'll fall asleep,
