When I was ten

by Masked   Aug 21, 2005

I remember it,
In your arms then.
When you were here,
When I was ten.

And you held me,
As we lay there.
Freezing our hands,
With the end near.

With your last breath,
You kept me warm.
Held me tight,
Through the snow storm.

And that snow,
It was very harsh then.
You breathed warm air,
When I was ten.

All I did was,
Scream in your ear.
Yelling at you,
Felt your tear.

And the cold,
It started to leave.
Made me feel good,
I was naive.

As the snow piled,
I felt your last breath.
It was so cold,
I could feel death.

When they found us,
Back then.
You died,
I was just ten.
