The Pain of Loving

No one can go through life

Without feeling its surreal sting

It can turn your brown eyes blue

just with the pain that it may bring

Some people say the pain is like knives

Stabbing repeatedly at your heart

I say it feels like hands

Slowly tearing your soul apart

Im speaking of love

And the pain that it may bear

The lies, the cruelty and the rejection

Of how no one really cares

So why do we fall so hard?

Why are we put to suffer?

If just a moment of hurt and pain

Can make you feel its not worth it?

But maybe one day

that special someone will come along

and make you feel like your fears are all gone

till then, bear through the horrible pain
