My Poem About Death

by Avrii Monrielle   Aug 22, 2005

To some you know they don't understand,
Others you -think- they do
Dealing with it needs reprimand
But it all leads down to you

You know they're out there
They think you need psychology
They don't know how hard it is to cope
They didn't prize them valuably

It was yourself that cared for them
And loved them oh so hard
But they don't understand
How it hurts to be apart

If only something could work,
Like a charm or a spell
We would be at peace
If they came back well

But when they're dead they can't come back
Unless they've always stayed
So don't worry
They're still here
Because...
They want to know
That you're
Okay.

I hold my hands out
For you to hold
Because death
Needs courage and faith

The stars are windows to heaven
And they always gaze our way
So stop crying,stay still
But I know something better
Very nice to forget that kill

You have to talk to them
And look up to the sky
Or speak to their photograph
Try your hardest not to cry

Because if you loved them
They must have loved you back
And they're listening
Knowing who they lack

They're waiting
For you to say
Its okay
To whisper goodbye
I know it hurts....
But thats what happens
When someone you love dies....
-----------
Dedicated to those whose loved ones have died!
