Refusing to Cry

She sighs,
closes her eyes,
fighting off the tears,
she refuses to shed,
for shes shed to many already,
refuses to let them stream, refuses for them to streak her face,
to let everyone know,
how she is,
refuses to let them fall to the floor with no plan at all to take any form,
but yet,
they wait in her eyes knowing she will give in they will win yet again,
so yet again they fall,
streak her face,
burning her eyes for her tears are not soft and warm they're bitter and hot,
she wipes them off her face hoping the streaks they left will stop but they don't,
they wont,
for she is damned to crying because of how she feels,
she tries to fight them ,
but they always win,
there is no stopping them,
so she cries,
wishing she wouldn't,
wishing she couldn't,
she does,
she cries,
because she is hurting inside...
