She Loved Him But She Would Never Tell

by ..::.alreadyGoNe..::.   Aug 23, 2005

She loved him but she could never tell
The pain in her bursting heart
Ever so heavy and the darkest of red
She could never meet him
It was too far away
Yet she cried every night wishing and hoping
For the day when their lips could touch
Breathing in the smell of him
Feeling the warmth from his body
Staring into his soft brown eyes
But she’s left hugging the cold air
The only space between them
She was lost in this new feeling
Wishing for it to all end
So she could be sane again
Yet it never left and she loved him more
With every day that flew by
Her blue eyes so sad the cuts becoming deeper
The blood, her only escape to this
But he would never end this
Because he would not break the tie
She was too precious
She would take someone and love them for who they are
No matter what they do or who they become
The sky would ststretchndlessly
Making the distance seem shorter
The pink mixing with the orange
Then one day she had it all planned out
This love was not for her
She laid herself in the bathtub
And took down her sparkling razor
It whispered to her that everything would be all right in the end
And she could finally hold him in her arms
And rest her straining head on his shoulder
And stay that way for all eternity
But nothing ever worked out that way
She started with one wrist and then the other
Sighing as the blood began to flow
Filling the tub with crimson liquid
All her pain, love, and sadness
She could hear her heart beat
Becoming fainter with each drawn breath
The world was becoming darker
Yet ever so lighter as she held on to her love
Her blossoming rose that grew steadily with each day passing
Then she shuddered one last gasp
And fell silent
The blood making dripping sounds in the silence
A smile was left frozen on her face
He got on every night
Wondering were she had gone
Then the call came in the darkest of all nights
He lifted the receiver to his ear and listened to the news
His darling his love his life had left him
She had left her suicide note
Telling him that she’d meet him in heaven
And there they could reside forever
A single tear slipped down his face
He had made the biggest mistake of his life
Just loving her
He kept the note fresh in his mind
As he picked up the cold of the gun
It was his only choice
So he could finally see her sweet face
And tell her that he loved her
And he had never meant for this to happen
He gritted his teeth and closed his moist eyes
He cocked the gun and kept her as his last thought
The ring of the blow echoed in the heartbroken room
And he joined her up above
Seeing her once and for all
Seeing her through new eyes
