Sad Song

As she sits there and thinks
and wonders what went wrong
She takes her last drink
She sings her sad song

Her Husband is gone
her kids are grown
She's left all alone
just there to sing her song.

She thinks of the days
When she had everything
She got her way
She got her say

Now she's wishing
that she hadn't lost
her one true since of pride.
She didn't mean to hurt
or harm anyone.

But now she wishes she was back
in her husbands arms
He was the one who trusted and loved her
And she defied that trust

And now he's gone
and she's crying all alone
with nothing else to do
but sing her sad song.
