The Four

by Brad Champagne   Aug 23, 2005

Again the cries of battle rise
From the empty streets unto the skies.
The enemy, in numbers strong,
Have come to finish this fight prolonged.

Four there are who know this plot
And a a plan before the flood they wrought
To leave the Captain lost and alone
When to him a Saint of God is shown.

The first, a man of courage and power
In his prayer to the Father he showers
Upon the hosts the love of God
That leaves them helpless and awed.

The second, a lady with keenest sight
Of that which roams in the darkest night.
Her vision, wisdom, and caring way
Are a blessing unearned in this endless fray.

The third, a knight and warrior true
Who fights for Right the battle through,
A simple servant of the Lord and all,
Lieutenant of this company small.

The fourth, a Captain humble and bold
Leads them to victory as plots unfold.
With faith so pure and such a heart
This fellowship the enemy thwart.
