Black Girl

by Princess 01   Aug 23, 2005

Black Girl, Black Girl look at what color you are.
So dark, and so pretty,
but blinded with others words and cruelty.

Black Girl, Black Girl look at who you are.
You're more than what appears to the eye,
but you just daze around,
and can't even lift your head to look at the sky.

Black Girl, Black Girl look at what you are.
Smart, bright, and intelligent too,
but you let what those people say stop you from being you.

Black Girl, Black Girl be proud of you color.
Ebony colored skin is beautiful on the out side and with in.
Don't walk with your head drooped to the ground, raise your head up high and proud.

Black Girl, Black Girl have faith with in.
Don't be discouraged because of what others say to you.
Love what see when you look into the mirror every morning, evening, and night too.

Black Girl, Black Girl love your self, and remember that your skin color is truly the best.
