She closes her eyes
to run from her troubles
her mom is drown in liqueur
and her dad is just a letter
shes not feeling alright
she needs an escape
her friends are worried
they want to know shes OK
every night when
her light goes out
she dreams of a life
when she know her dad is alright
she always cries know that tomorrow
things will be the same
but she promised herself
she would never end up
like her mother
she would never turn to liqueur
to escape her problems
no matter how much
she misses dad
she didn't just lose him
she lost a family
she lost a friend
she lost her life
this poem isn't about my life but about a girl who's dad is in Iraq and her moms a drunk
