Turn On The Light

by Laloser05   Aug 24, 2005

She's wondering through the endless mist of the night,
No light, no solution to her problems and no soul in sight.
Just the darkness she's been surrounded with all her life,
As she wonders, her eyes see a sight of her mum, with the knife.
She remembers the blood stained walls, and her mum laying on the floor,
The sight of this cruel memory makes her head sore.
She remembers the kids at school, always looked at her strange,
Her friend's parents told them to keep away from her, unless of course she changed.
But she never did anything, why do they act this way,
Now she's an outcast because her mum could handle her days.
The whispers behind her back, and giggles and the smirks,
In school she started to go down hill, she found it hard to work.
Distracted from what mattered, she started to do drugs,
She started to hang out with the wrong people, criminals and thugs.
Soon enough she got to high, and looked upon the knife,
She always got high to end her pain, but now she could end her life.
The tool of which her mother used, to end the lasting pain,
She wished when she was little to never hold this fiend again.
But here she was with the hated tool, placed in her right hand,
She thought how she wanted her mum back, or go to the devils land.
So she cut and bled all night, the walls were red again,
She was such an outsider that she only knew her pain.
As the mists gets thicker, and darker does the night,
Feeling for the desired switch, so she can once turn on the light.
