Sinking

by Jemma   Aug 24, 2005

Can’t carry on
The pain hurts too much
Can’t find a place to lay my feet
Stand sinking, ever sinking
Into the thirsty bog

Drinking, slurping, caught in a flood
Slowly dropping, leaving now
Never now conscious
Always sinking, ever sinking
Into the doomed abyss

Veils of smoke and shields of tears
Dim lights searching
Nothing to see
Too low, under the earth
Sinking down, down, down

Like a feather
Floating through
Just keep waiting
Falling through

Lying still as death
Pain erupts in forgetful dark
Feet glide through, slide through dirt
I lie sinking, ever sinking
In the ever thirsty bog

**wasn't sure where i could really put this**
