Mascara.(Emerald Green.)

by Kristen   Aug 24, 2005

You're as beautiful as they said you were,
Your mascara running thin
You stand by my front door
And the rain has left you drenched
The puddles of blood
Around your feet
The puddles of tears
That run down your cheeks
Watching you breathe,
Watching you dream
Sleep away all those awful things.
You're emerald green,
Ashamed of who you are
Hide away those shattered arms
Your pretty smile
Your pretty eyes
Those shirts you wear
As you walk down the stairs
Be afraid my dear
Of the things you fear the most
You're as beautiful as the said you were,
Although you bleed the most.
Those black marks straight down your face
Again your mascara has left no trace
Hunt you down
Like the dog you are
Standing in your puddle
Of lose leaf scars
You're emerald green
Like the Irish saints,
Fly away from this horrible place
This place of non-exsistance that you call home
You're as beautiful as they said you were,
While you stand at my front door.
What are you waiting for?
My mascara to run thin...
To have puddles at my feet
Of your blood that I lay in.
A pen and some paper
To write how you feel
I forgive you with all my heart,
But there's no since in dying for real.
You're emerald green,
Like a four-leaf clover
And I'm standing on the otherside.
You're as beautiful as they said you were,
Your mascara gone and dried.
