DTS - She's Just a Girl

by Bryan Berry   Aug 25, 2005

Seeing her every morning
It's like the heavenly hosts
It puts me into mourning
Cuz she doesn't like me the most

Hoping to catch her eyes
Hoping not to be struck dead
My stomach's got butterflies
And my cheeks turn a bright, bright red

But she is just a girl
And she is now my world
She isn't some on high goddess
That doesn't make my crush any less

I try to get near her but
Her magic seals my lips tight
I feel like some worthless mut
I can't even put up a fight

But she is just a girl
And she is now my world
She isn't some on high goddess
That doesn't make my crush any less

So here it goes
I'm right in front of her
Will these words come out
I'm all in doubt
Well here goes nothing

"Hey Fara, will you go to the dance with me?"
"What?"
"Do you wanna go to the dance with me?"
"Uhh... no"

I know she's just a girl
And now she's not my world
She is a fallen, broken goddess
Just a broken crush like all the rest
