My best friend until she moved

Best friends
i thought we'd be
best friends forever

we grew up together
best friends for life
we always told each other

then one day
you came up to me
told me you were moving

you started crying
so did i that day i never wanted to let you go
you were moving to Idaho..i live in California

theres a big difference there
i should of gave you my number
or something so we would of stayed in touch

but we didn't
its been almost five years
from the time you left

and i just wonder how you are doing
how have you been
and your brother how is he doing

i will never forget the time
after you left
i would never stop crying

it took me a while
until i finally had it down
that i will probably never see you again

after that best friends
are what were not anymore
we haven't talked for almost five years

i just wish i could hear a simple hello
from my old best friend
that i will never forget

one day i hope to see you again
i young girl. just yet so beautiful
and know she used to be my best friend

i have no idea if you remember me
i wouldn't be hard if you did
trying to forget your past
