Artificial is the New Real...

by No Motiv?   Aug 25, 2005

Plastic molds and lifeless eyes,
mannequins speak of flawless lies;

had there ever been a woman

as beautiful as she?

only something this perfect could live in a teen's magazine.

If only I could airbrush the sands of time,

Without the doctor's knife,
To purchase my lie...

if only money couldn't buy the face we all admire.
If God couldn't be trained and prepared for hire...

Beauty: once real and created by chance,
Now rests in the palms of a surgeon's hands.

We all know money demands the highest spot in the game,
But, girl, you ain't nothing if you never tasted fame

Perhaps I wanna be another part of this lie,
If my looks are enough, then hell, so am I

You shoulda known in the first place, you have no name,
The only thing you own is your public shame

If you can walk down the street without darting your eyes,
Then you better be equipped with the perfect chest and thighs

Because you can only keep your image and self esteem,

If you can compete with the girls in my magazine.

--------

Girls...stop succumbing to the "perfect" image....the perfect lie.
