You said goodbye to family,
You said goodbye to friends.
You said goodbye to all your pain,
So now your pain will end.
You struggled to fight the battle.
To all of us you won.
Up in the sky, the moon the stars,
You are my shining sun.
People say that you are gone,
But you're still here with me.
The way you laughed and smiled so bright,
It is so clear to see.
We loved you very deeply,
And equally still do.
It was our time,
June 16th,
To say goodbye to you.
This poem is a memory,
That should be cherished from this day.
We don't have to say goodbye to memories.
In memory of Ernest Charles Ray.
