School's about to start
Pondering the future
And the safety of our hearts

Clean slate this year
New start
We'll stay happy if
We're smart

The boys are older
And have more ways
To break our hearts
Each and every day

So watch your back
Stay careful and smart
You could get lucky this year

    Aww...that is so cute and true!! That is very good advise and I will try to follow it as hard as I can. No guarantees though...lol. I hope that I spelled that right..lol. You are very creative and I like the thought of your poems because it seems as though you put alot of time into them and that is one thing that makes a poet better....I think. 5/5

    That was a really good poem. I totally know what you're saying. The 2nd stanza was a little choppy, but it was still really good. It's hard, this year I told myself that I was going to protect my heart, and it just got stolen again. Anyway, keep writing and take care.
