Ruptured

by k i k i   Aug 26, 2005

Engraved into the stone,
The mug of me.
Concrete place, and determination,
I won’t ever smash or shatter.
People tramping over me, clashing when I’m
Trying to believe in me.

Jumping over the plains,
Fighting for justice, something so small.
Pushed the wrong buttons,
No escape, I will fade.
Surrender to the holder of the blade,
Just cut me into your life.

A tattoo imbedded into your skin,
My name, the one you love to hate.
Self-harm, such hurt,
Now I understand why I cry of a night.
Lightening strikes flash in the night,
Causing the insides to break and bleed.

Losing the only one, you
Never thought that it would leave.
Pain filled, the veins pumping so much hate,
A release of tension, to cover the tears.
Plastic covers my room,
In alarm that another rupture will transpire.

Oh wow hun, this is really cool and I love the fact that it has such a vague rhyme scheme. It fits right in with your message of a vague future. I hope you begin to feel better shortly, whoever or whatever this poem was about they obviously meant a lot to you but please remember, you are yourself with or without anything you thought made up your existence. Be strong and keep writing.
