I Lost What I Never Had

Everytime I see you,
I can't but stop and stare,
Did you ever love me?
Did you ever care?

We never got together,
But yet I loved you so,
You were actually there,
When I was feeling low.

Now as I cry and think about us,
And wonder if were through,
And than I think about how,
I never really had you.

You say it hurts to lose,
A strong and wonderful love,
But how do you think it feels?
To feel none of the above?

Now I realise the truth,
I'm going to love you forever,
But the horrible and sick thing is,
Were not going to get together...
